Frequently Asked Questions
How many sandwiches can I make with a pound of Beetles barbecue?
Because our barbecue comes with no sauce on the meat, all sauce comes on the side at no extra charge unless you specifically want extra sauce, buying a pound of our barbecue is like buying a pound and a half just about everywhere else because you get a full 8 ounces of sauce with each pound of barbceue you order, i.e. the actual weight is 1.5 pounds after you add the two together. You can very easily make 5 to 6 or even more nice barbecue sandwiches with one pound of barbecue ordered.
What is the difference between a BBQ Sandwich Plate and a Full BBQ Platter?
The Sandwich Plate is a sandwich with 4 ounces of meat on a grilled BBQ Bun with your choice of two homemade sides whereas a Full BBQ Platter is 8 ounces of meat, one piece of grilled garlic bread and your choice of two homemade sides.
Do you have sliced pork barbecue?
No, we only have pulled pork barbecue, made with 100% fresh hams ONLY. Because we cook our pork for over 24 hours, the meat is just too tender to be able and slice anymore.
What is the difference between St. Louis Cut Ribs and Baby Back Ribs?
St. Louis Cut Ribs are the thickest, meatiest cut of the center of the side of the rib verses Baby Back Ribs which are the curved portion of the rib just above the tenderloin which makes the Baby Back Rib, in some people's opinion, a more tender rib in general.
How do I determine how much food to order for a large party?
This certainly would be directly related to how much you beleive you will need for your particular event. In general, assuming you are ordering homemade sides also, 4 ounces of our barbecue, pork, chicken or beef, satisfies the average eater and makes a nice sandwich because our barbecue comes with no sauce on the meat, all sauce comes on the side at no extra charge unless you specifically want extra sauce. If your event is an all adult function, we recommend you order plenty of meat on a per person basis, i.e, you may want to consider 6 ounces or 8 ounces per person to assure you have plenty of 'Que.
How do I determine how much of the homemade sides to order?
In general, as a side item to your barbecue meat order, a quart will feed from 4 to 6 people, depending on how big of eaters you have and a gallon will satisfy 16 to 20 people, again, depending on how big of eaters you have.
